Wine Review: 2020 Belvino Pinot Grigio

2020 Belvino Pinot Grigio

I found this Italian Pinot Grigio at Total Wine for a steal. I think it was $6 and it turned out to be pretty good!
Belvino Pinot Grigio is a light and fruity white wine. Not sweet but not exactly crisp either. I actually thought that the first glass started off a little tart but over time it mellowed and by the second glass became quite pleasant.
Johnpaul thought it tasted like Chardonnay but I disagree. Pinot Grigio is not "buttery" in any kind of way. This wine has prominent fruit flavors of apple and peach. The label says "elderflower on the finish", but I'm not so sure about that. Definitely has peach tones though.
I thought this wine was pretty good, especially for the price. It's a nice warm weather wine and I wouldn't be embarrassed to serve it to any of my fancier friends.
Other pertinent info: 11.5% Alc/Vol, no headache or acid reflux and a screw cap to make us lazy wine drinkers happy.
